What VASIS^SM is designed to do

VASIS^SM assists trained examiners in identifying relative autonomic stress indicators associated with specific questions during structured interviews, screening environments, and investigative procedures. It is an advisory investigative support tool. It does not determine truth or deception, and it does not replace examiner judgment or a complete investigation.

Hardware and field configuration

VASIS^SM is configured for portable investigative work, combining its computer platform, microphone system, and setup controls in a streamlined field-ready package.

Stress pattern analysis

VASIS^SM applies examiner-guided analytical methods informed by vagal-response research and structured testing protocols. It does not rely on population norms, automated truth scoring, or conclusions independent of examiner judgment.

• Real-time color-coded pattern display: black for No Stress Indicated and red for Stress Indicated
• Automatic gain control and advanced sound capture to eliminate repeated voice samples and manual modulation adjustments

Structured workflow and examiner control

VASIS^SM begins with six prompted data fields that identify the examiner and test subject while initiating auto-test generation. The examiner selects the number of relevant questions, and the system creates a test sequence with relevant, control, and irrelevant questions. Category-based templates can be created and saved for pre-employment, investigative, and internal affairs scenarios.

VASIS^SM includes two 40-hour Basic Examiner Certifications through the VIPRE Online Training Center, a one-year parts and labor warranty, and ongoing access to VIPRE technical support and training resources. The system is designed to support consistent analytical review while retaining the examiner as the final interpretive authority.
